Fanfare Band | 2e division

Traditionally, most participating fanfare bands come from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, but ensembles from other countries also regularly compete in Kerkrade. Over the years, the Fanfare Band Contests have grown into a leading international competition for this distinctive orchestra type.

Since 1970, the Conductors Contest has been an important part of the World Music Contest (WMC). The event offers young conductors an international platform to showcase their skills, gain experience working with professional wind orchestras, and receive direct feedback from an expert international jury.
