Raimondi College Wind Orchestra
Wind band Youth division
Bio
Raimondi College Wind Orchestra is a vibrant youth ensemble based in Hong Kong, comprising dedicated student musicians from Raimondi College. The orchestra was restructured in 2006 to strengthen its artistic direction and broaden its musical scope. Under the distinguished baton of Mr. Amos Lee, the ensemble continues to flourish. Recognized for expressive performances, the orchestra's diverse repertoire spans classical wind band works, contemporary pieces, and film scores. Regular performances at school events, public concerts, and competitions foster musical growth and teamwork among members. 2024 proved a breakthrough year as the orchestra embarked on its debut overseas tour in Europe. At the SCL International Youth Music Festival in Vienna, the young musicians struck a chord with international audiences, earning 3rd Prize in the 'Band' category—a significant milestone in their international journey. Their artistic standards were further affirmed locally when they captured the Gold Award at the 2024 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflow – Symphonic Band Contest. Looking ahead, Raimondi College Wind Orchestra is honored to join the World Music Contest (WMC) in Kerkrade 2026. The ensemble eagerly anticipates sharing its passion and sound with a global audience while celebrating the power of music to connect and inspire.
