Koninklijke Fanfare De Goorse Bloesem

Fanfare Band 3rd division

Bio

The Royal Fanfare Band “De Goorse Bloesem” was founded in 1931 following the construction of the “Nova” cinema and dance hall in Heist-Goor. This makes “De Goorse Bloesem” one of the youngest fanfare bands in the region of Heist-op-den Berg. The Royal Fanfare Band "De Goorse Bloesem" is conducted by conductor, composer and Eb Tuba player Stijn Aertgeerts, who also has his roots in this fanfare band. Today, the fanfare band has around 45 musicians, including several talented soloists. One of the orchestra's great strenghts is the large number of young musicians, which is certainly a valuable resource for the future. The youth band “Jeugdfanfare #Toeternitoe” has also become a well-known name in the region. Royal Fanfare Band "De Goorse Bloesem" performs at various public events and concerts every year and regularly participates in competitions. In 2024, they won the Vlamo Open Fanfare Championship in the first division with no less than 94,50%. In 2026 they came second out of 12 bands in the excellence division with a score of 93,50%. However, one of the great qualities of Royal Fanfare "De Goorse Bloesem" is and remains its cosy, friendly, almost family-like atmosphere. Everyone feels at home in the Fanfare band of Heist-Goor.
