WMC is over, but the impact of your performance doesn't have to stop there.

We still regularly receive questions about the possibility of accessing or purchasing the recordings of your performances. We fully understand that the information shared about this prior to WMC may have faded into the background. So here is a full overview once more.

That's why we need your help.

VIDA operates with a licence, meaning that the performances of orchestras can remain available on the platform by purchasing a licence from WMC. The recordings will then be published on VIDA from 1 October onwards as individual performances, organised in clear selections — from that moment on, VIDA functions as a 'Netflix' page for wind music. We will make sure your performance is processed and enriched with programme information, results, translations and background information. It will then be made available free of charge to everyone with a VIDA account, in a well-organised catalogue. You will find the pricing at the bottom of this email.

Through this licence, you directly contribute to the growth of this unique platform, and your performance will be freely visible to the public alongside all the bands that came before you. Creating a VIDA account is and will always remain free.

By participating in VIDA, your achievement is no longer limited to that one special moment on stage. Your performance stays visible, findable and shareable for a global audience — family, friends, fans, future members, conductors, organisers and music lovers can enjoy it for years to come.

More than 30 orchestras have already indicated their wish to help build VIDA through this licence. The more orchestras join, the faster VIDA will grow into the international home of wind music. Short clips for promotional purposes on social media can be requested via vida@wmc.nl. These clips are free of charge and must be posted with the credits provided by WMC.

2022 Pricing
Recordings of performances from WMC 2022 are also available and can be published on VIDA at a reduced rate of €175 (excl. VAT) for a full performance.
