Dynamic Symphonic Band is a leading symphonic wind orchestra based in Dendermonde, Belgium. Since its founding in 1982, and under the passionate direction of conductor Geert Baetens, the ensemble has developed into an ambitious and artistically driven group known for its musical precision and commitment to excellence. High standards are upheld both individually and collectively, creating a culture of dedication and growth. The band is celebrated for its stylistic versatility and refined interpretations of advanced HaFaBra repertoire. In 2005, Dynamic Symphonic Band was promoted to the highest division in Belgian wind band rankings, and in 2012, it was awarded laureate status in that division at the national championship organized by Vlamo. A year later, the ensemble achieved international acclaim by becoming vice world champion at the 2013 World Music Contest (WMC) in Kerkrade, scoring an impressive 94% in the “Harmony Second Division.” Dynamic Symphonic Band regularly presents ambitious concert projects. Highlights include a nationally broadcast 2007 performance of Jan Van der Roost’s Sinfonia Hungarica on Klara Radio, The Queen Symphony in 2014, and three sold out performances of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana in 2016. The band embraces every musical challenge with energy and conviction.
