Bio

Showband Takostu is an enthusiastic group of musicians, founded in 1995, that has performed at countless events over the years. Since 2022, Takostu has appeared in a stylish new blue-and-white uniform. The showband has developed its own distinctive musical style and performance, captivating audiences time and again with a combination of classical and contemporary music, complemented by innovative and surprising shows. It is therefore no surprise that Takostu is frequently invited to provide music and entertainment at parades, tattoos, and festivals throughout the Netherlands. This has given the showband extensive experience in a wide variety of performances and events. Showband Takostu is also active internationally and has performed in Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany. The instrumentation consists of marching drums and a powerful percussion section. In addition, the band features a melody section with piccolos, flutes, and mallet instruments. This unique combination of instruments has enabled Takostu to develop its own recognizable musical identity. All music and show productions are written and arranged by Takostu’s professional in-house instruction team.
