Wind Bands Association of Singapore (WBAS) and World Music Contest (WMC) are proud to present the WMC-WBAS Intercontinental Conducting Course under the direction of Douglas Bostock and the Singapore Armed Forces Band.
The first in a serie of eight conductors courses organised by WMC Kerkrade provides an extensive range of conducting opportunities for conductors to work with wind orchestra and ensembles. This course is also valuable for conductors who wish to gain new insights into a variety of rehearsal techniques and wind repertoire. In this five–day course two participants will be selected to join an all-expenses paid trip to participate in the Conductors Contest in Kerkrade at the 18th WMC 2017, which is led by a panel of internationally renowned conductors.
Over 50 people registered for the conducting course. The seven remaining courses in Den Haag (NL), Staufen (GER), Mezzacorona (ITA), Bogotá (COL), Costa Rica (CSR), Denton (USA) and Wuhan (CHIN) will also present about 50 participants of which approximately 15 selected participants will participate active and the remaining 35 will function as auditor.
