Anniversary WMC 60 years
For 60 years WMC has proved to be consistent. Officially the world's leading event in wind music has its origin in 1951. Specially after the 2009 edition it can be argued that WMC is strongly profiled as a brand and has proven its viability. In 2011 it will be 60 years since the WMC was founded in Kerkrade. It has since inspired people all over the world to come to this city to enjoy music together.
On this occasion WMC wants to come up with a dazzling anniversary program from Thursday September 22nd through Sunday October 2nd 2011. This program offers on the one hand a nostalgic view on WMC's glorious history, but on the other hand focuses mainly on the future.
